The normal thickness of aluminum foils are 12 micron, 16micron, 18micron, and 20micron. Polyester Film with 500 to 5000milimeters width has 16 micron thickness, 500milimeters width in China. The aluminum foils we produce have 120meters long, 640milimeters wide, and 16micron thick. The package is 10 rolls per carton. The aluminum foils are made by coating release, pigment, aluminum, and adhesive on the films. National aluminum films mainly have 4-5 tiers.
The first layer of aluminum film is PET film: inland often use PET film with 16micron. It mainly works for supporting the coating and continuous hot stamping. Then it proves that PET film won’t change as the temperature rising during hot stamping. So it may have strong fastness, draw-resistance, high temperature-resistance.
The second layer of aluminum film is release coat: it is mainly made by coating with silicon resin. The basis of release coat is silicon resin, which is worked for breaking color, aluminum, glue away from film and then it is transferred on the surface of products before the heating or press. It all proves that the process of hot stamping is release coat. The hot stamping materials we made are mainly used for hot stamping on the different kinds of products. The first layer is PET film, which improves the process of hot stamping by preventing stretch or change during hot stamping. It won’t change under high temperature and has the feature of strong fastness, high temperature-resistance, and draw-resistance. The release coat must have good release features, otherwise, it may affect the quality of hot stamping products.
The third of aluminum foil is pigment coat: the basis of pigment coat mainly has: resin and dye with proper heat-resisting, transparent features. The impacts of pigment coat are as follows: 1、reveal the color. 2、prevent the picture of aluminum foil from oxidation. The color of aluminum foil has orange, yellow, grey, red, green and so on. The color will be shining after aluminum, such as yellow to gold, grey to silver, and so on. The requirements of coating are fine and smooth and have no particle, in case of destroying the uniformity of coating.
The forth layer is aluminum coating: firstly, placing the film of pigment coating in the empty space of continuous aluminum machine. Secondly, melt the aluminum and evaporation on the pigment coat, through heating, then the aluminum coat is conformed. The main impacts are reflecting lights and change the feature of pigment coat. It then can be shining.
The fifth layer of aluminum film is adhesive coat: after coating on aluminum and drying with melting easily resins, the adhesive coat is made. It mainly used for sticking the hot stamping materials on the products.
