Using the theory of heat press transfer, the hot stamping transfers the aluminum onto the surface of products, making the special metal effects. Because the main material of hot stamping is aluminum foil, hot stamping can be called as aluminum foil. Aluminum foils are made up of several layer of materials, the basilar membrane is PET film, followed by release coat, pigment coat, aluminum coat and adhesive coat.

Under the condition of pressing by hot stamping foils, aluminum foils make the silicon resin and glue melt, the sticky of silicon resin which is melt by heat is decreased. But the sticky of special heat glue is increased after heat melting, making the aluminum film and melting transfer into the products. With the removing of pressure, the glue cooling and solidify quickly. The aluminum adheres to the products, and then the process of hot stamping is completed.

Hot stamping mainly has two functions: the first one is decoration, which improves the addition quality of products. Combining with other ways of producing, it proves the well decoration effects.

The second one is strong illegal preventing features, such as trademarks using holographic orientation hot stamping.

The patterns are clear, beautiful, colorful and wear-resisting. The hot stamping used on the cigarette trademark is more than 85%. On the design of flat surface, hot stamping can do a lot of benefits, such as extruding the design theme, trademarks and decoration.
